Let’s start in 2018, when I enrolled in a two-month course at school.abamodels.com.
At the time, my university semester had just ended, and I always need something new and exciting to dive into. That’s how I found myself in this modeling school. You’ve already met the school’s director, Vika, in my previous post!
Now, I should note that I didn’t actually become a model—my skin wasn’t perfect, and my height didn’t meet the standard requirements. However, this course changed me and my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Honestly, it’s scary to think where I’d be today if I hadn’t taken that step.

At the end of the course, our final project was to produce and participate in a photoshoot. In other words, we were responsible for organizing and starring in it ourselves. Here are a few shots from the project Dani and I worked on.

It was during this time that I discovered how much I loved producing shoots. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately followed the same process to produce another shoot—and then another…

In fact, I only transitioned into photography because it was much easier to bring my own ideas to life that way. My «career switch» happened a year later, in the summer of 2019. The decision was completely spontaneous. My first models were friends I’d made during the modeling course, which was perfect for me as a beginner since they already knew how to pose.
Over the years, I’ve created projects I’m proud of, and you can check them out here
Fast forward five years after I completed modeling school, and I was offered the chance to teach others how to produce shoots—how to come up with ideas, build a team, and manage all the little details. It’s one of the most fascinating jobs I’ve ever had. I’m constantly improving my teaching skills, honing my soft skills, connecting with the younger generation, and thoroughly enjoying the process.
At the time of writing this post, I’m teaching my second group of aspiring models. In less than six weeks, they’ll complete their first independently produced shoot and publish it in a magazine.
Stay tuned for more updates about their journey!
